The CATANA shipyard, a legendary brand renowned for its high-performance and top-of-the-range catamarans is now manufacturing the new Bali. Known and appreciated for its rigid forward cockpits with lounge and sunbathing areas, the large tilt-and-turn door and sliding windows as well as a panoramic relaxation area from the flybridge.
There are several Bali models, but our favorites are the 4.5, 4.8 & 5.4. The 4.5 has a typical 4 cabin / 4 head configuration. The 4.8 & 5.4 have access to the forward area through a front access door and both designs include a 6 cabins / 6 bathroom version with economic spaces and ergonomic living areas for 12 guests.
SKIPPERS NOTES: We really like the Bali for several reasons. It has a solid front deck with lounge cushions in the place of a trampoline. When I first saw this configuration, I had reservations, but we ended up really enjoying the lounge area and spent every evening having sundowners and snacks around the serving table. The ability to open the salon area and merge with the aft deck into a large gathering area, a full size refrigerator and a flybridge also make this design perfect for the home away from home.
